OMR Sheet Design with MCQ BlockOMR or Optical Mark Recognition Sheets are used for examinations that have MCQ (multiple-choice question patterns. The MCQ block is the most common type of OMR bubble patterns used in answer sheets. In MCQ, each question will have four or five bubbles, out of which one would be correct. In some examinations like IIT JEE, the students are required to mark two options as right answers. This type of pattern is called the simple MCQ block (ABCD/ABCDE). Another OMR Design with MCQ Block is the integer type. Here, instead of presenting the options horizontally, the OMR bubbles are presented in a row. The integer type block has 10 digits in one row (0-9). The students have to mark any one bubble as per the answer they derived after calculation. This type of MCQ block is used for questions that have a numerical option. The integer blocks can have two rows of ten digits each too. Apart from these two MCQ blocks, there is one more which is called the matrix block. In the matrix blocks, one question has four sub questions, with each of them having four to five options. The questions are presented in one row and are named as ABCD, while the answer options are named as PQRS/PQRST. All types of MCQ blocks should be filled completely with blue or black ball point pen. However, the pen marks should not extend outside the bubbles, as this can hamper the reading process done by the OMR software. Below you can view an OMR Answer Sheet that has all three types of MCQ blocks. You can download and print this sheet and use it for practice. |
